Christopher Isherwood
(August 26, 1904 - January 4, 1986)
British writer and playwright, whose full name was Christopher William Bradshaw Isherwood. Isherwood was born in Disley, Cheshire. He studied at Cambridge. In 1929 he went to Berlin, where he stayed for four years. The musical 'Cabaret' is inspired on his book 'Goodbye to Berlin'. In 1946 he became an American citizen.
